Los acuerdos se han sellado en Dubái durante la II Reunión Jurídica Internacional, organizada por la Russian Asian Legal Association

Tomarial Abogados y Asesores Tributarios ha firmado alianzas con seis despachos internacionales de Rusia, India, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Arabia Saudita y Bangladesh para asesorar a sus clientes en las inversiones que realicen en España. Los acuerdos se han sellado en Dubái, durante la celebración de la II Reunión Jurídica que organiza la asociación RALA, Russian Asian Legal Association, de la que forma parte Tomarial como único despacho español.

Antonio Ballester, Socio Director de Tomarial, ha encabezado la delegación del despacho en esta cumbre y destaca “el enorme interés que despierta España actualmente entre los inversores internacionales que quieren diversificar sus intereses y se fijan en múltiples sectores de nuestra economía, no solo en el mercado inmobiliario.Por eso las firmas legales de Rusia y muchos países asiáticos buscan aliados en España para el asesoramiento a sus clientes. Para nuestro despacho tener socios legales internacionales de gran nivel es la manera de atraer inversiones y oportunidades.”

Tomarial ha firmado acuerdos con dos despachos de la India que tienen diferentes sedes en el gigante asiático: S.K. Singhi & Co. y Vidhisastras Advocates & Solicitors. Una colaboración que también ha formalizado con firmas de prestigio de otros cuatro países: Russia House International Lawyers, de Rusia; Almaazmi Advocates & Legal Consultancy, de Emiratos Àrabes Unidos; Nahar D. Al Dalbahi Attorneys and Counselors at Law, de Arabia Saudita y NB & Associates, de Bangladesh.

Antonio Ballester ha participado como ponente en una de las mesas redondas de la reunión jurídica celebrada el pasado 12 de enero en Dubái y dedicada especialmente este año a las inversiones internacionales. En compañía de Daniel Soltice, Director de Relaciones Internacionales de Tomarial, ha mantenido múltiples reuniones bilaterales con despachos de otros países. En este evento de la asociación RALA en Dubái se han dado cita representantes políticos de Rusia y de los países de la antigua Unión Soviética,integrados en la Comunidad de Estados Independientes; responsables de los departamentos legales de las grandes compañías, tanto públicas como privadas, y socios

de las principales firmas legales que trabajan en estos países. También han participado embajadores de Asia y Oriente Medio, abogados de Japón, China, Arabia Saudí, Emiratos Árabes, Suiza, Bangladesh, Singapur y Malasia, jueces y juristas de la Federación Rusa, diputados del parlamento de la Federación Rusa, y parlamentarios de la Asamblea de la Unión de Rusia y Bielorrusia.

On January 12, 2020, the II international legal summit «Investment and law in Asia and Russia» was held in Dubai (UAE), organized by the Russian Asian Legal Association (RALA).

More than 150 guests from 35 countries gathered at the Radisson Blu Waterfront hotel, including representatives of the largest law firms in Asia, international banks and investment companies, government agencies in Russia, Europe and the Middle East. The undiminished interest in cooperation with Russia and Asia was again demonstrated by the international legal community. The expansion of the number of participants, as well as the horizon of countries represented by them, in comparison with the first Summit is evidence of the fruitful work of the Association, which last year added 12 new members.

President of the Association Maxim  Tafintsev made a welcome speech to the guests of the meeting. Noting the effectiveness and importance of legal cooperation between legal entities in Russia and Asia, Mr. Tafintsev highlighted the common economic and cultural interests that bind Asian States, and expressed hope for the equally fruitful development of multilateral contacts in the coming year 2020.

The Summit discussed issues of doing business in the Gulf countries, lobbying for products and services abroad, anti-dumping and customs barriers for exports from Asia to Russia and the Middle East. Successful examples demonstrated the possibility of protecting the interests of Russian exporters in the UAE arbitration courts. They also discussed investment projects in Russia, Asia and the middle East in the fields of gas production and oil refining, shipbuilding, energy, and infrastructure construction.

Invited experts, as well as legal practitioners, made reports on certain issues on the agenda. During the fruitful discussion, the participants exchanged views and experience on the most pressing issues of international law and Economics in the era of globalization.

Andrey Kozlov, managing partner of the law firm RussianLegal, a lawyer, made a report on problematic aspects of international trade in goods and the anti-dumping regime in Russia and the UAE.

With great attention, the audience listened to a master class by a representative of Brandpol-the leader in the market of artificial intelligence systems in the activities of lawyers. The company’s products allow you to automate the process of filing lawsuits and pre-trial claims, as well as track copyright violations. Already today, it is used by such large companies as Bayer, Dupont, and KAMAZ.

The summit was attended by heads and representatives of the largest law firms in India, China, the UAE, Singapore, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Switzerland, Spain, Croatia, Serbia, as well as international consulting and law firms. Among the distinguished guests of the forum are Ms. Noura  Almaazmi (UAE), Mr. Abdul Rahman and Mr. Randolph Khoo (Singapore), Mr. Gao (China), Mr. Sumes Dewan and Mr. Ashish Deep Verma (India), Mr. Alexander Lindemann (Switzerland), Mr. George Georgiou (Cyprus), Mr. Jurica Savic (Croatia), Mr. Nenad Vukovic (Serbia), and Mr. Darius Gibasiewicz (Poland), representing their own legal companies. The summit was also attended by well – known Russian lawyers, including Mr. Denis Fridman, international lawyer(AP of Krasnodar region), Andrey Kozlov and Temirlan Zhilov(AP of Moscow), Mr. Igor Vyshegorodtsev, arbitration Manager(Voronezh), Mr. Dmitry Rozhdestvensky (Nizhny Novgorod) and Natalia Nepeivoda (Novosibirsk).

For the first time, the Summit was attended by a representative of Saudi Arabia, a lawyer, and Vice-President of the Russian-Asian Association of Lawyers, Mr. Nahar al-Dalbahi. He expressed deep satisfaction with the work of the first Russian-Saudi law firm, founded during the Russian President’s visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2019.

A good tradition of the Summit was the presentation of the award of the Russian-Asian Association of Lawyers – The L. M. Gudoshnikov medal of Honor. The name of this outstanding Russian jurist, honored scientist of the Russian Federation, specialist in modern history and law of China is forever inscribed in the history of Russian jurisprudence. The Gudoshnikov medal is awarded By the President of the Republic of ARMENIA for outstanding achievements in the development of international legal cooperation. In 2020, it was awarded to Mr. S. K. Singhi, founder and managing partner of one of the largest law firms in India, S. K. SINGHI & CO, LLP., for his work in international arbitration and the development of relations between the Russian and Indian bar associations.
