La Plaza magazine has published in its October issue an interview with Antonio Ballester, the managing partner of Tomarial, in which he has an impact on the evolution of the firm since its foundation in 2007, as the headline highlights: «Our growth is key to better respond to the client and give a comprehensive service ».

In this interview, Antonio Ballester highlights the ability to respond to clients demonstrated by our firm since the beginning of the pandemic: «In the state of alarm TOMARIAL activated its protocols, we were computer-ready to work remotely. In particular, our Labor Department attended to all clients who requested ERTE. Presented and successfully managed around 100 ERTES. The rest of the Departments multiplied their telematic conversations and videoconferences ». In fact, TOMARIAL's good response to customers and its successful teleworking experience has multiplied inquiries from companies to adapt to this system and to the new regulations on this issue.

Antonio Ballester responds that the best advice in the face of the crisis has been “to focus on the treasury has been an obligation and a necessity: the box is for a company the same as oxygen for a diver. It has also been very useful to align all the resources of the company to be able to overcome this unexpected situation. And as for tax recommendations for companies, he points out that “now it is time to be extremely cautious in accounting policies, mainly income recognition, provisioning and stock valuation. It is also important to implement the compliance, to protect the company from possible contingencies: a preventive criminal protocol and also a tax one. And in the face of treasury difficulty or imminent insolvency, assess restructuring or refinancing agreements to avoid bankruptcy. And if it is not successful, request a voluntary bankruptcy without delay and establish an early warning system regarding accounts receivable and debtors ”.

Regarding the firm's continued growth, the managing partner replied that “the growth strategy is in TOMARIAL's DNA. A larger office, with more structure and more resources can better respond to the needs of clients and also do it in a comprehensive way, saving costs and time for companies. The dimension itself is not the goal, but the best service to our customers. This commitment to growth encourages us to continue looking for talent and professionals who promote development areas ”.

In the same vein, the interview highlights the importance of TOMARIAL's international alliances with law firms from other countries: «It may seem that the pandemic has slowed down the internationalization of companies, but we understand that this is not the case and TOMARIAL continues to bet on its presence in the world. We have just signed two alliances with two law firms, one Chinese and the other Canadian. This allows us to offer a closer service to companies that continue to bet on internationalization: having local partners makes work easier and being able to give an immediate response ”.
