It was precisely in January 2020 when we decided to face a very expensive investment to improve remote access, teleworking, as well as the possibility of accessing applications and databases from anywhere in the world in a secure way. It was prescient, because at that time it could not be suspected that the coronavirus was going to become a pandemic, and we made an effort that exponentially improved the telematics capabilities of our company. This allowed us from March to work from home connected to our office with the appropriate tools.
At Tomarial we decided to install Dakel Xeon Dual servers on the latest generation Intel Xeon Scalable platforms, capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding business applications. It is a system that optimizes interconnectivity, providing speed to processes and also preserving data security. One of the new benefits it brings is improved workload performance by increasing throughput in advanced analytics applications, high-performance applications (HPC), and data compression.
In this way, since the beginning of 2020 we have implemented a computing capacity that provides us with faster access to and security of data in an isolated environment. A demanding teleworking technology, with two-factor security that prevents unauthorized users from accessing it, with an active anti-rasomware system and backups distributed in various systems and locations to protect information.
The latest acquisition to boost the speed of data access has been the incorporation of solid state SSD raid technology in the application servers, doubling the speed.
