The CEO tomarial, Miguel Ángel Molina, has participated in the program The Afternoon with Marina from 99.9 Valencia Radio. During the discussion, they addressed highly relevant issues such as the need to facilitate the elimination of bureaucracy, encourage investment, implement fair taxation and open the doors of the labour market to new generations.
Delays after the DANA and the lack of agility in aid
An urgent problem was put on the table in the debate: 33 days after the DANA, many affected companies have still not received the promised aid. Molina has stressed the lack of agility in management and administrative response, highlighting the need for profound changes in bureaucratic procedures. Thus, he explained that To alleviate the tax burden on companies in the affected municipalities, up to three royal decrees have been required at the state level. These measures include, for example, the deferral of taxes or a three-month extension for the preparation of accounts.
Molina explained that direct State aid for companies and entrepreneurs does not require justifying damages. This support, aimed at both companies and self-employed workers, covers from 10.000 to 150.000 euros for companies y 5.000 euros for self-employed workers.
Applying for these grants is simple:
- Access the page of the Tax agency.
- Complete the required data (CIF, company name and account number).
- They will receive the income directly into the account.
However, this system has long-term implications. "Many businesses in the 73 affected municipalities have applied for these grants without having suffered direct damage, which could have consequences for future budget allocations," Molina warned.
At the regional and local level, aid does require detailed justification, such as damage to premises, and in the future it will be necessary to quantify these extraordinary expenditure items.
Tax reform on the horizon
On another note, Molina has announced that a tax reform is underway that will affect various taxes such as Corporate tax, with a mandatory minimum tax for multinational groups, increases in the IVA and in rates, which will be used to offset DANA aid and meet European deficit targets.
These measures reflect a complex panorama, where the needs of those affected by emergencies such as DANA are balanced with the country's fiscal and budgetary obligations.
The CEO of Tomarial has shared a discussion table with Juan Carlos García López, Managing Director of Sucesores de Leonardo, Pilar Garcés, founder of Garcés Correduría, Fernando Martínez Moltó, economist at the Moltó Fer Consulting law firm and Rosa Soler, personnel selection professional at Kankei.
