Our CEO, Miguel Ángel Molina, participated in an interesting debate on La Tarde Con Marina alongside Vicente Peñalver and Juan Cháfer of a3SIDES; and Beatriz Carratalá and Juan Remolí of Securuzable. They addressed key topics for the present and future economic situation of the Valencian Community, such as the need for certain professional profiles, the current state of labor relations, and the post-DANA consequences for the creation of new jobs.
The CEO of Tomarial shared how the world of labor relations has changed a lot in recent years: “I remember how 17 years ago, employees had a very conservative view of their positions; every decision was carefully considered. Now, workers don't have any fear; they're here today and gone tomorrow. And this situation has produced a profound change in the labor relations system. Companies now need to implement employee retention policies.”
Regarding the labor shortage, Molina added that the unemployment rate in the Valencian Community is 12%, two points above the national average. Although the impact of the DANA (National Urban Development Plan) must be taken into account, he believes there is a real lack of labor or willingness to work. He also emphasized that jobs such as plumbing, electricians, and construction professionals are currently very difficult to find and are the ones that will be on the rise in a few years, even more so in technology.
