tomarial has provided tax advice to the Royo family in the operation whereby 75% of Royo Group has passed to the signature Rock, which was formalized a few days ago. The Valencian Royo is a company dedicated to the manufacture of bathroom furniture, a leader in its sector in Europe. Rock Group has acquired 63% of the company from the US fund HIG Capital and, after the operation, the family red continues to have a 25% stake. Miguel Ángel Molina and Ana García, partner and manager of the Tax Area of Tomarial, have participated in advising the family as a selling party.
Royo Group manufactures around one million bathroom furniture annually, with a turnover of 95 million euros in 2019 and a staff of 793 people. It currently has three production plants in Spain and Poland and two innovation centers. This operation involves Rock Group y Royo Group jointly constitute one of the world leaders in bathroom furniture, with a turnover of over 173 million euros in this segment and a production of close to two million units per year in nine production centers located in Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, China and Brazil. Also, the Roca group consolidates its leadership position in the creation of bathroom spaces, increasing its market share in a complementary activity to sanitary ware. Within the framework of the strategy Rock Group to establish specialized competence centers for different product categories within the bathroom space, Royo Group will become the development hub of the furniture segment for Rock Group, at the same time that it will continue with the commercial development of its brands.
