The magazine Economía 3 has published in its June issue an extensive article dedicated to new investment trends for companies. To elaborate it, he has relied on the opinion of our managing partner, Antonio Ballester, who has answered the main questions on the subject. Investment by companies continues but there has been an evolution of interests. More and more resources are allocated to certain priorities, as corroborated by Antonio Ballester: "the commitment to projects that have to do with investment in sustainability and the environment, projects with social impact and the start-up sector is increasing".

Ballester adds one more condition and that is that "for 'foreign direct investment' the requirement of prior authorization has become a barrier." Another variable that may be delaying investment is the "downgrade in Spain's credit rating in the financial sphere."

Asked about the improvement proposals that could be promoted by the Government, Antonio Ballester calls for a tax policy that recovers tax incentives, "such as deductions for job creation and for investments in fixed or non-current assets"; in regulatory matters he calls for "greater flexibility and less interventionism"; and in terms of public procurement, "automatic mechanisms for reviewing
prices in a situation of high inflation.
