Casa Caridad held last week the delivery of its fifth Prizes. Awards that are directed each year to institutions and individuals for their commitment to those most in need, a help without which this entity "could not open its doors 24 hours a day, 365 days a year." The event was attended by about 200 businessmen and representatives of civil society, including Mr. Antonio Ballester Sánchez , Managing Partner of Tomarial Abogados and Tax Advisors.
These awards are a recognition to all the Valencian society that contributes its granite in the daily contribution of Casa Caridad, The objective of the project of the entity Companies with Value is, according to its president louis miralles, try that of the 165 companies that already exist, reach 365, one company for each day of the year.
Casa Caridad Valencia is a private charity, declared of public utility, dedicated to solving the most basic needs of the homeless and at risk of social exclusion. Currently, its services include social canteens, shelters, nursery schools, day centers, hygiene and health programs, leisure and free time outings, and housing and employment search programs. Each year it distributes more than 300.000 food rations, its shelters host more than 30.000 overnight stays of homeless people and nursery schools serve more than 150 children aged 1 to 3 years. It has a staff of 60 employees, almost 300 volunteers, and In addition to its own centers, it manages another social dining room in the city of Valencia.
